Job Responsibilities  

• Assist senior officers in security operations and maintain order in designated regions.  
• Within the scope of your internal security duties, ensure the safeguarding of government buildings, public spaces, and critical infrastructure.  
• Participate in border security initiatives to deter unlawful activities, such as unauthorized crossings and contraband transportation.  
• Survey the area on foot or by vehicle to uphold order and ensure security.  
• Aid in maintaining order and managing masses during emergencies, elections, celebrations, and public assemblies.  
• Follow standard deployment protocols during anti-naxal and counter-insurgency operations, particularly in coordination with the CRPF and Assam Rifles.  
• Comply with the regulations regarding checkpoint supervision, area management, and search procedures.  
• Coordinate relief and rescue efforts in the aftermath of earthquakes, floods, and other natural disasters.  
• Government-issued weapons, equipment, and apparel shall be used properly and in accordance with established regulations.  
• Always maintain obedience, arrive on schedule, and strictly follow the regulations of the force.   
• When assigned to the SSF or CISF, offer support in the execution of VIP security duties.  
• Carry out the specified physical, weaponry, and training activities as instructed. 
• Precise record-keeping and reporting of assigned duties are important.

Qualification

• The candidate must have successfully completed the Class 10 Matriculation examination from an accredited board.  
• The last day for registration is 1 January  2026 

Age Limits:

• An man or woman should be at the least 18 years old. 
• The permitted age limit is 23. 
• For participants, the permitted range of dates is from 01-01-2003, to 01-01 2008. 

Age Relaxation (as applicable) 

• Scheduled Castes/Scheduled Tribes: a duration of five years.  
• OBC:The duration is 3  years.

 Selection Process

Below are the important stages of the selection process for SSC Constable GD Notification 2026 posts:

Step 1: Computer-Based Testing (CBE).
